The iconic corner barbershop façade in Cabinteely village had fallen under ruin and was due a much needed upgrade to match the quality of the service they provide. To achieve this new improved look, for the interior Sam's Barber opted for a matured whiskey design that would fit right in the wild west but with elements of the modern day. To accompany the brilliant look of the inside they needed a something to suit the façade of the building that would compliment the new look as well as blend in with the village it shared with many others.
They began by removing the old paint with the paint stripper 'Strip Away'. This removed all the old paint that was flaking. If the previous paint was not removed would have cause the next paint to blister and fall off like previous paints. The next step was to impregnate the wall with 'Remmers Impregnation Primer', this solution is a water repellant that protects the wall from absorbing water but is still breathable. The next step was to apply a suitable paint that would work along with the imprenation primer to repell water and would still allow the wall to breath, 'Remmers LA Silicone Paint' was chosen.
