Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris (FR)
Notre-Dame de Paris, France
The Roman Catholic church Notre-Dame de Paris is one of the most important landmarks in France. It was built between 1163 and 1345 in the historic center of Paris, located on the right arm of the Seine. In a major fire in April 2019, the cathedral suffered severe damage inside and out. A faithful reconstruction of the world cultural heritage site was commissioned in July of the same year.

Short description | The major fire within the cathedral has severely damaged the natural stone masonry. Soot and released pollutants have settled on and in the walls and have affected them. A solvent-free, film-binding peel-off paste was applied to clean the walls, which binds the contaminants. The particles are removed from the masonry by peeling off the layer that has formed. |
